These cookies have been in the family for decades. My sister and I make them at Christmas and the whole family waits for them.
1 lb. butter
1 lb. eggs (8)
1 lb. sugar (2 cups)
1 lb. flour (4 cups) not self rising
teas vanilla
note: you can make a 1/2 batch.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs beaten one at a time.
Add vanilla.
Add flour, very little at a time.
The batter will be very creamy.
Chill in fridge for several hours or overnight.
Heat waffle iron and bake untill browned.
